Lara and Tom
Lara and Tom chose the stunning Somerley House near the Hampshire coast for their spring wedding. It is a beautiful, classic country estate venue, full of history, and ornate rooms and expansive gardens making it a perfect wedding venue for a sunny day, which they luckily got!
Lara and Tom wanted to create more of a wild, country style in a bright, colourful palette, featuring a variety of spring blooms to showcase the best of a cheery British garden. Mindful of the grand nature of the venue, we kept the designs wild, but neat.
She chose a bright, colourful colour palette, with her bouquet filled with the best of spring blooms: ruffly ranunculus, fringed tulips, scented hyacinths, anemones and striking delphinium. She wanted a wilder, looser style with lots of movement.
For the ceremony, we created a statement archway to frame the couple and create a stunning backdrop for the photos. We also created floral meadows to frame the aisle, coupled with small vase pew ends, filled with the same flowers as in the arch and bouquets to create a cohesive look throughout the wedding. We repurposed the pew ends to be placed alongside bud vases for the reception, and the meadows were moved to in front of the bar area, and into elevated niches in the reception room to bring some colour to the space.
We created a smaller version of the bridal bouquet for Lara's Maid of Honour to bring the whole look together.
We finished off the wedding floral decoration with simple yet effective bud vases for the table centrepieces, and simple yet elegant pops of florals for the wedding cake.
